SANTA BARBARA, Calif., June 27, 2005 – Chuck Sheldon, president and CEO of Network Hardware Resale (NHR), was named a finalist by professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2005 Awards in Greater Los Angeles. NHR was selected from nearly 100 nominations in Greater Los Angeles by a panel of independent judges. Finalists will be selected in one of six award categories announced at an awards banquet on June 28, 2005 at the The Beverly Hilton Hotel

The company that would become NHR was founded in 1986, originally as a small business reselling pre-owned communications equipment to generate extra income as Chuck Sheldon served as mayor of Hermosa Beach, Calif. In 1996, the company assumed the name Network Hardware Resale and focused on becoming the most trusted reseller of pre-owned Cisco networking hardware. NHR today employs more than 100 people in the United States and Europe and has enjoyed more than 36 consecutive quarters of growth and profitability. Revenue increased more than 50 percent in 2004 and the company is on pace to deliver higher growth in 2005.
Greater Los Angeles winners will be eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2005 national program. Winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif. in November 2005.
